Game 28

Wow I can't believe it's been over 5 months since my last blog... Although I guess for the most part I post my stories on facebook.  I did want to post my awesome heads up come back match against Tim but by now I've forgotton most of the details.  I think I'll try to post what I remember later.  But for now, while it's still fresh in my memory I'm going to post about the game tonight.

There are only 2 games left after this game tonight.  I'm currently in 3rd place but Duane, Pam, and Brian are close behind.  Luckily for me Duane and Pam already busted out.  Brian can still cash though.   I'm surprised I lasted as long as I did.  I was playing well in the begining.  Hit a couple of hands and then I get Kings.  Blinds are 25/50 and Brian makes it 250 in early position.  I re-raise to 750 and he just calls.  The flop came heart, heart, heart all low almost a staight.  I bet 1k and Brian makes it 3k.  I thought ok, he's not going to re-raise with the flush and pre-flop he only called and didn't re-raise so I don't think he has Aces.  He could have AK with just the Ace of hearts.  Or what I actually put him on was Queens or Jacks with a heart.  I thought my Kings were good especially with the heart draw.  I did say wow, this might be an early night for me and Brian said only if you call.  I should've taken that as a sign but I thought he was still trying to bluff me so I pushed.  He insta called and I knew I was screwed.  He flipped over pocket Aces with the Ace of heart.  I could no longer hit a heart.  I needed a king and a king only... I didn't hit and he crippled me.  Had he re-raised me pre-flop I would've put him on Aces so that was a good play on his part.  I did not expect that...  It also didn't help that I had the King of hearts.  Had I not had a heart I would've folded.

So anyways that left me with 75 chips with blinds still 25/50.  I push all in next hand with A,2.  I think Brian raised that hand.  The flop came 7,7,2 so I liked my chances at first until Brian flipped over Kings.  I was like wow, Aces then Kings... luckily I hit a 2 on the river to keep me alive.  That doubled me up to 275.  A couple hands later I push with K,J and hit the K.  It was good and now I'm at 1400.  I was feeling better after that with a little breathing room although with blinds 50/100 I was still short stacked.  I hit 2 pair against Duane to get some chips and a set against Marty.  All of a sudden I'm back up to 3000 with blinds 75/150.  I had 20 times the blind and felt better... I actually made a good come back from 75 chips... But then I got stupid.  I raised to 450 with A,10 and Dani called.  I didn't hit and checked.  I bet 600 on the turn and she called.  River pretty much put a straight out there I checked and she bet 600 and I knew my Ace high was no good so I folded.  Very next hand I get A,10 again.  Blinds were 100/200 and I was in the big blind with it.  I should've just checked but I threw in 500 more.  Once again Dani called.  I can't remember if I bet the flop or turn but I threw out 600 again.  I gave up on the river because I knew her pocket pair was good.  5's beat my A,10.  Oh well.  So all of a sudden I went from 3000 down to 700.  If I'm patient and only bet when I hit I do a lot better than trying to win hands with nothing.  So anyways I have 8,10 in the little blind.  There were no raises and even though I was short stacked I still called for the other 100.  The flop came 8,2,3.  I push for my last 500.  Brian calls then Duane pushes.  I figured I was screwed.  Duane flips over 8,J so he had me out kicked by 1.  That sucked.  I made such a great comeback from 75 only to give all my chips away.  Oh well...  2 games to go.  I feel fairly confident I'll win a seat but I do know anyone can catch up and knock me down.
