I was getting on here to talk about a couple of tournaments I've played lately but then I realized I never blogged about the last WSOP league game. I ended up beating Annie heads up and actually jumped into 2nd place and definitely secured a seat for the WSOP this summer. I calculated points and there is no way any two people can jump above me and knock me out. Now I just have to hope that Brian can cash at the last game to jump him into 4th place so he can have a seat too. It totally sucked when we got down to 4 handed it was Jesse, Annie, Brian, and me. It would've worked out had I gone out 4th place because then Brian would've been garaunteed pts but I play to win. Brian and Annie were the 2 chip leaders too with Jesse and me behind. So it just sucked when he had 2,4 in the little blind and the flop came out J,2,4. He bet, Annie raised, and he went all in. Annie insta called and said she had 2 pair (J's and 2's) and just like that Brian was out. He could've easily folded and waited for Jesse or me to go out but he was also playing to win and not just take 3rd place. Still it sucks because he could've had a seat too... although he still can get a seat. There's 1 game left. All he has to do is cash as long as Duane or Pam don't cash above him...
I was looking at my stats in the WSOP league... and although I don't have the best average place and I can't even really brag about cashing in 24% of the games I've played (especially since Brian has cashed in like 37% or something like that). But what is pretty good is of the games I've cashed in 86% of them I've taken 1st. (I've cashed in 7 total only 1 was a 4th place and the rest were 1st's) So I say I've been doing pretty well. I even have a chance to beat Tim if we get 18 players and I win. Don't think that's going to happen because I'm not going to be trying my hardest since I already have a seat. But still I made a great comeback.
